Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1969 Dodge CHARGER recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1969 Dodge CHARGER problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: The 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) Often called "the best in NASCAR history," the Dodge Charger Daytona model, with its distinctive high rear wing and extended nose, was created specifically to meet the stock car series' homologation requirement of the day. The car's radical nose reduced drag to 0.28- impressive even 50 years later-and provided a real advantage at speed. This was the first NASCAR entry to crack the 200 mph barrier, and together with its twin, the Plymouth Superbird, racked up ten NASCAR victories over just two racing seasons. That advantage came to a quick end when the design was banned by the sanctioning body at the conclusion of the second season. The 1969 Dodge Daytona offered here in Charger red over tufted black vinyl, is powered by its original matching-numbers 440 cubic inch Magnum engine with a 4-barrel carburetor, and backed by its original console-shifted automatic transmission. The entire automobile, including its engine and transmission, has been fully and faithfully restored to museum quality. The results are evident in the more than 210 photographs available on the GarageKeptMotors website, where there's also a short walk-around-and-startup video as well. The engine note is muscle-car music to the ear! Every aspect of the car shows beautifully. Chrome, paint, interior surfaces (including the wood veneer dash and center-console trim), gauges (including the conservative 150 mph speedometer), emblems, stickers, data tags, undercarriage, and engine bay (including hoses and componentry, all in the proper finishes). No expense was spared in the renovation work. Even the Good Year Eagle racing tires and NASCAR wheels are correct for the model, with a second standard "road set" also included in the sale. Also part of the sale are the car's original build sheet and its window sticker showing a $4,730.65 out-the-door list price (including a $5.40 upcharge for the 3-speed windshield wipe option).
