Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1962 Ford F-100 recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1962 Ford F-100 problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Major Options / Build:
Additional Description: An original F-100 with the RARE Unibody option. Very solid truck. Never repainted (except the tail gate). No rot anywhere. Everything on the truck is surface rust with no rot holes or soft spots. Floors and bed are solid. Frame is in similar condition with no holes or soft spots. Panel gaps are all nice and even. Original 292 Y block that runs great. Just updated some basic stuff, including: new valve seals, new ignition box, new fuel pump with fuel filters on either side, rebuilt Holly carb, new brake master cylinder, new belts, new generator, new starter, new Firestone tires on period correct ET wheels. Truck fires immediately hot or cold. Good compression (all over 165/I'll have pics of the gauge readings to send shortly). Drives straight down the road. Doesn't pull, shake or wander. New window regulators. Original radio and speaker are there but don't appear to work. I haven't tried to figure out why. Panel gaps are good all the way around. This is not a clapped out unibody truck. It is a solid, original, unmolested truck that's never been painted or chopped up. Three on the tree shifts smoothly in every gear. Clutch is strong and easy to engage. No slipping or chattering. Great patina on an very complete and solid F-100. If you would like more pictures, message me with specifics and I'll send them. Nothing to hide in this truck. Trades welcome. Credit cards accepted. No dealer fees. Call or text.
