Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1969 Chevrolet CAMARO recalls can be found in this database. Additional Description: Plus $199 Doc Fee396 CI / 375 HP / Turbo 400 VIN# 124379N553786 Built in Norwood, Ohio Exterior Paint Code 72 Hugger Orange Interior Trim Code Black w/ Bucket seats This is a true RS/SS big block, hugger orange car. It was built the first week of December 1968 – previous to GM introducing the 'X33' code that was added to eliminate confusion on the assembly line. The motor in it is a date coded correct to a 1969 RS/SS Camaro. The transmission is a 400 Turbo, the rear end is a 12 bolt posi 4:10 gears. This car was completely rebuilt from the ground up; all GM parts used or originals were utilized. This car was a true barn find; it was parked in 1976 and sat until it was found in 2004. Car had minor damage to the front right corner. The car had rust in the floors, quarter panels and doors. The car had to have the right front fender, quarter panels, rear inner fenders, lower trunk extensions and floor pans replaced. Both doors were replaced from donor cars, as well as the right front fender and inner fender. We have most of the receipts from the restoration. It was a 4 year long process with over 300 hours on body and paint alone. The car has 29 miles since rebuild. This is not a numbers matching car but it is era correct meaning that the motor has the right date code. The intake, exhaust manifold, carburetor, fuel pump, thermostat housing and engine were rebuilt to stock specs. This is a nice car and a lot of time and effort was spent building it as close to stock as possible. The car is absolutely stunning. From the perfect body, to the perfect interior, to the outstanding mechanical condition, you can tell that this car was loved very much. It is obvious that extra time was taken to make sure it was all done right, so the end result would be perfect. They didn't cut any corners when they built this car, and it turned out truly amazing. Don't miss out, because these don't come around very often. This car was built by Larry Payne, Body work and paint done at Hoeft Auto Restorations in Garland, NE.
