Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1970 Ford TORINO recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1970 Ford TORINO problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: 1970 Ford Torino Cobra - 429ci V8 w/C6 Transmission - Marti Report - Factory Tach - Power Steering - Power Brakes (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) Here's a hot performance car for your consideration; a Torino Cobra. These classic cars aren't seen often these days, despite being a performance car that sold right alongside the many variations of the Mustang. The Torinos were a little more practical than a Mustang and thanks to simple styling were pretty unassuming performance cars. This Torino Cobra in particular, is finished in the factory colors, and offers a 429ci "Thunder Jet" engine which is a 360 horsepower torque monster that is ready for ¼ mile passes. This Torino is finished in white (Code: M) just as it rolled out of the Atlanta production plant. The car was repainted quite some time ago. The paint shows some age, and much of the chrome trim is pitting, but all the trim is there which can be an issue on a car like this one. The sleek looks, and simple styling are pleasing to the eye and make this car one that can fly under the radar despite its performance abilities. The spacious interior is finished in black just as it left the factory. A factory tachometer, aftermarket radio, aftermarket speakers, added auxiliary gauges, are just a few highlights of a pretty spartan interior. The interior shows its age in a few spots like the door panels, and driver's side of the front seat. A few tweaks have been made in the way of an aftermarket radio and speakers, a few auxiliary gauges, and a fire extinguisher. Otherwise the interior is as Ford intended. Under the hood is a 429ci V8 mated to a C6 automatic transmission. The VIN decodes as a "N" for the engine, which is a 429 "Thunder Jet" engine that offers 360 horsepower with a 4BBL carb, and a 10.5:1 compression ratio. As we mentioned earlier, the V8 is a torque monster that is just waiting to put some passes down at a drag strip. Ford's marketing for the '70 Torino Cobra mentioned all the performance capabilities of the Torino Cobra's - from the drag strip to stock car tracks, Ford was proud of the Torino Cobra's performance.
